Faith Baptist Church is a traditional church located in the heart of Joplin, MO.  In our services you will find Christ centered music based on hymns.  Our goal in our music program is to create an environment where we can sing out and lift up our voices to God with music that honors Him.  You will also find sound, Biblical preaching here at Faith.  We desire to help you in a closer walk with God through the truths found in the Bible.

A little about us:

We are non-Calvinist and non-Arminian. We consider ourselves to be Biblicist. By that, we simply mean that we desire to interpret Scripture without pre-conceived notions. We strive to compare Scripture to Scripture and let it speak plainly and clearly for itself.

We believe that the Bible teaches that anyone who calls upon the Lord and believes in His finished work at Calvary, SHALL be saved.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We believe Scripture clearly states that ANYONE can be saved.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

We believe that Scripture teaches us that you cannot lose your salvation.

Ephesians 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

We believe that the Authorized King James Version is the BEST translation for English speaking people. We use the King James Bible in our teaching and preaching.
